1. Acceptance

By using the Aurus Légal platform, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. What we offer

Aurus is a management platform for Quebec law firms. We provide billing, trust management, time entry, compliance reporting, and email sending.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
Two-factor authentication (MFA) is mandatory.
If someone accesses your account without authorization, notify us immediately.
Each account is personal and may not be shared.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to:

Use the platform solely for legitimate professional purposes
Not attempt to circumvent security measures
Not send unsolicited emails through the platform
Comply with applicable laws, including the rules of the Barreau du Québec

5. Your data belongs to you

Everything you put into Aurus (clients, invoices, matters) remains yours. We hold no ownership rights over your data. You may request a full export at any time.

6. Integrations (Gmail, Outlook)

You may connect your Google or Microsoft account to send emails. By doing so, you authorize Aurus to send emails on your behalf. We access only the minimum necessary permissions and never read your incoming emails.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep the platform available at all times, but we cannot guarantee zero interruption. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance.

8. Liability

Aurus is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect damages related to the use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid over the previous 12 months.

9. Termination

You may close your account whenever you wish. We reserve the right to suspend an account if these terms are violated. Accounting data is retained for 7 years after closure, as required by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Quebec.

12. Changes

We may amend these terms at any time. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or within the platform.
